Declaration

Students enter the human resource management (HRM) major or minor programs via declaration from their respective school. Typically, HRM students reside in the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). Full-time students normally declare their major in the second semester of their second year, although some students may declare earlier in order to facilitate the planning needed for an appropriate sequence of the courses required to complete the major within four years.

Part-time students normally declare their major by the time they have completed 60 credits.

Students within the School of Arts and Sciences may utilize the SAS online declaration system to declare either their major or their minor: https://secure.sas.rutgers.edu/apps/mymajor/. Some academic departments may have prerequisites and/or require approval by an adviser. For more information regarding the declaration of either a major or a minor, please see the SAS website at: http://sasundergrad.rutgers.edu/forms/major-and-minor-declaration.

Students who attend a school within Rutgers outside of SAS should consult with their adviser for information on the declaration process.
