390 Finance Concentration

Finance focuses on all aspects of money management such as investment, collection, disbursement, borrowing, and fundraising. These individuals prepare financial reports needed to conduct operations and to satisfy tax and regulatory requirements.

To declare a finance concentration, students must complete 33:390:310 Financial Management for Finance majors with a grade of C or better. If students have already completed 33:390:300 Financial Management, they can take a qualifying examination through the finance department.

Concentration Requirements (9 credits total)

Investment Analysis 33:390:380 (3)
Corporate Finance 33:390:400 (3)
Derivatives 33:390:420 (3) (prerequisite: 33:390:380)

You cannot 'double count' or overlap any courses between RBS-NB majors and RBS-NB concentrations. All concentration courses must be fulfilled by courses not required by an RBS-NB major. Degree Navigator will not remove the double counted courses and it is the student's responsibility to monitor this manually.
