Scholarships

Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-New Brunswick (RBS-UNB) scholarships are administered by the Special Programs Department and, sometimes, the individual departments. RBS scholarships are competitive awards based upon outstanding GPAs, active organization participation, faculty recommendations, and leadership potential. Scholarship specifications are also a governing factor. Students must apply to be considered for an award. The application process begins in mid-August and thru mid-September. RBS students are notified by email when the scholarship portal opens.

Alumni Association Scholarship - Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate New Jersey resident who demonstrates superior academic achievement.

Atrion Corporation Endowed Scholarship - The Atrion Corporation created this endowed scholarship to provide financial assistance to undergraduate, non-traditional students enrolled at Rutgers Business School on the New Brunswick campus.

The Bank of New York Mellon Scholarship - This scholarship fund seeks to support Rutgers Business School's recruitment of outstanding students and, in turn, further strengthen the quality of the RBS-UNB student body.

C. Thomas Mallos Scholarship - Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate senior accounting major who demonstrates academic excellence and service. Established by C. Thomas Mallos.

The Center for Women in Business (CWIB) - CWIB will award selected students up to $5,000 in scholarship money to fund expenses while pursuing a degree at RBS. This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to developing their own leadership potential and/or advancing other women in business. This scholarship is awarded to F/T undergraduate students based on financial need. Recipients should participate in the Rutgers Business School's Women BUILD Program or be a student leader in an RBS club or organization.

Chopruvka Family and Goldman Sachs Gives Endowed Quant Scholarship - Recipients are to be selected among full-time undergraduate sophomore students enrolled in RBS. Students must be members of the Road to Wall Street Program at RBS and pursuing at least one quantitative major, including but not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or BAIT.

Classroom to Boardroom - This scholarship is for a first-year F/T undergraduate student applicant based on academic merit. The donor requests that the recipient make an informal pledge to "pay it forward" to future Rutgers students once they graduate.

Cohn Reznick Scholarship - Awarded to a junior accounting major who has achieved academic excellence, engages in extracurricular activities and plans to pursue a career in the accounting profession.

Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholarship - Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate baccalaureate degree in accounting and obtaining their CPA from an accredited program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selected participants must matriculate to the University's Master of Accounting program for the duration of the 2022-2023 academic year and complete such a program in May 2023. Applicants shall demonstrate knowledge and appreciation for the challenges faced by members of demographic groups underrepresented in the field of public accountancy. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Edgar Dunlap Scholarship - Awarded to a full-time junior who demonstrates superior academic achievement.

EY Diversity and Inclusion Accelerator Program - This fund provides scholarship support for students enrolled in the B-STAR program with awards designed for Road to CPA students or students majoring in accounting.

Gary Dornbush - Awards are made to full-time undergraduate students majoring in accounting in excellent academic standing.

Gary Cohen Endowed Scholarship - Awarded to a full-time Rutgers Business School student who demonstrates drive and high academic merit.

Gebruder Weiss Supply Chain Leadership Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students. Two students will be selected each year - one from the New Brunswick campus and the other from the Newark campus. Recipients will be offered an internship at the company as well.

Hamelsky Scholarship - Awarded to a full-time New Jersey resident who demonstrates high academic merit.

Hassan Family Scholarship - Recipients are full/time undergraduate students with a preference for students from Newark or East Orange, NJ or the Greater Newark, NJ area.

Jayceryll Malabuyoc de Chavez Memorial Scholarship - Awards are made to full-time New Brunswick undergraduate students enrolled in the Rutgers Business School, based on academic merit, who have demonstrated leadership at the University and/or in the community.

Kenneth and Jessica Miller Scholarship - Awards are made to full-time undergraduate RBS students based on academic and financial needs. Awards may be renewed for up to three years.

Littman Family Scholarship - Awards are made to provide tuition assistance to undergraduate business students on the New Brunswick campus. Established by Leonard and Herbert Littman.

Michael and Elizabeth Dimond BAIT Scholarship - Awards are made to full-time undergraduate students with a minimum 3.2 GPA who have demonstrated leadership potential. Preference to finance majors but not required.

Nan and Paul Okarma - Road to CPA - New Brunswick is an all-inclusive program created to provide guidance and support to students on their path to CPA licensure and a meaningful accounting career. Recipients must be full-time RBS New Brunswick undergraduate accounting majors with a 3.0 GPA or higher. One female recipient is preferred.

Ochojski Family Scholarship - One New Brunswick full-time student annually. First generation with a 3.2 GPA or higher.

Omotayo Okusanya B-STAR Program - Scholarship awards are made to students in the Business Student Transition at Rutgers Program (B-STAR).

Omotayo Okusanya Beta Alpha Psi - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time New Brunswick undergraduate accounting major in their junior year (Class of 24) who is a member of Beta Alpha Psi with a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Omotayo Okusanya Road to Wall Street - This award calls for a sophomore, junior, or senior with a 3.5 GPA or higher who has completed a summer internship with a Wall Street investment bank or in the area of venture capital, private equity, or asset management at a reputable financial services institution and has earned a grade of A in the Road to Wall Street class.

Palumbo Family Endowed Scholarship - Scholarships are to be awarded to one Essex County, New Jersey, resident who is a full-time student of either Newark or New Brunswick campus. Students should be accounting majors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and/or community service.

Patricia Verderami Scholarship - The program administrator will select scholarship recipients among full-time undergraduate accounting majors based on academic merit and financial need. Preference will be made for a student either employed part-time or significantly involved in some aspect of student life.

Petra Cephas B-STAR - This scholarship supports a hard-working incoming OR current F/T undergraduate B-Star student that has demonstrated unmet financial need.
RBS Board of Advisors - This scholarship is for F/T undergraduate, graduate, or MBA students based on academic merit and financial need.

RBS 75th Anniversary Endowed Scholarship - Awarded annually to undergraduate and/or graduate students based on academic merit. This endowed scholarship fund is established by alumni and friends of Rutgers Business School in recognition of the school's 75th anniversary.

Richard Luhmann Scholarship - Awarded annually to a senior accounting major who has demonstrated academic excellence and service. Established by family, friends, and colleagues in memory of Richard Luhmann, Rutgers College Class of 1948.

Richard Federici Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to New Jersey residents with good academic standing.

Robert and Leighanne Egan Family Endowed Scholarship - Awards are made to full-time undergraduate RBS students based on academic merit and financial need.

Dr. Rosa Oppenheim Leadership Award - This award is made to graduating seniors who support future business leaders who exhibit a commitment to leadership. A short essay on leadership is required.

Roslyn Kuchin Scholarship - Awards are made annually to full-time students who are in good standing.

Salina and Zhexuan Wang - This scholarship is for F/T undergraduate, graduate, or MBA students based on academic merit and financial need.

School of Business Scholarship - Awarded to full-time students with high academic performance. Established in 1993.

Victor W. Farris Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to full-time undergraduate students majoring in the RBS RAISED Entrepreneurship program with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Vito A. Cardace Scholarship - Awards are made to full-time students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Created by Vito A. Cardace (RBS'60).

William T. Quinn Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship - New Brunswick campus. Awards are made to full-time undergraduate juniors who show an interest in an entrepreneurial career, are New Jersey residents, and must have previous work experience.

Zachary G. Stoumbos Endowed Memorial Award - Students can be full or part-time undergraduates that have a major or concentration in MSIS or BAIT and who exemplifies excellence in academic and extracurricular activities.
