Graduation

Degrees are conferred by the university at the recommendation of the school faculty only at the annual commencement at the end of the spring semester. Students completing degree requirements in August, October or January may make a written request to the Office of the Registrar for a certificate attesting to their completion of degree requirements after September 1, October 1, or January 1, provided they have completed a diploma application by the appropriate deadline. All students are required to file a diploma information form with the registrar (available at http://nbregistrar.rutgers.edu/undergrad/gradip.htm), normally at the beginning of the fourth professional year.
